What Does Tracking Quality Mean on EasyParcel [NextGen]?

Understanding Our Courier Tracking Quality Levels

At EasyParcel, we want to make sure you always know how your parcels are being handled — and that includes the quality of tracking you receive from each courier partner.

To help you understand what to expect, our system classifies each courier’s tracking performance into four levels based on the accuracy and completeness of their shipment updates.

Where To Find Tracking Quality Levels?

You can view the tracking quality level when selecting couriers during the booking process, or in your order summary or shipment details page after booking.

Look for labels such as “None,” “Basic,” “Regular,” or “Excellent” beside the courier name and pickup performance.

None (No Tracking)

What it means

This level indicates that no tracking information is available for this shipment.

What you can expect:

  • No tracking updates will appear in your EasyParcel dashboard.
  • Customers cannot monitor the parcel’s location or delivery progress.
  • Typically applies to basic or low-cost delivery services where tracking is not provided.

Example: Your parcel is handed to the courier and delivered directly to the receiver without any scan events in between.

Basic (Infrequent Tracking Events, No EPOD)

What it means:

Only limited tracking events are recorded for this shipment.

What you can expect:

  • You may see a few key updates (e.g., Parcel Dispatched, Arrived at Destination Hub).
  • No Electronic Proof of Delivery (EPOD) — meaning you won’t receive electronic confirmation when the parcel is delivered.
  • Suitable for shipments where full tracking visibility isn’t crucial.
Example: A parcel shows only “Picked up by courier” and “Delivered” status, with no updates in between.

Regular (Tracking Main Milestones, No EPOD)

What it means:

The courier tracks all main milestones of your parcel’s journey, from pickup to key transit hubs.

What you can expect:

  • You can monitor important steps such as Picked Up, In Transit, and Out for Delivery.
  • No EPOD — delivery confirmation may not include the receiver's signature or photo proof.
  • Ideal for senders who want moderate visibility of their parcel’s route.

Example: Your parcel’s tracking shows progress through several hubs but doesn’t include proof of delivery once it reaches the receiver.

Excellent (Tracking All Steps of Transit, Have EPOD)

What it means:

This is the highest level of tracking quality, offering complete visibility from start to finish.

What you can expect:

  • Every stage of the parcel journey is tracked, from dispatch to successful delivery.
  • Includes Electronic Proof of Delivery (EPOD) — such as receiver name, signature, or photo.
  • Recommended for business users who require full tracking transparency and delivery confirmation.

Example: Your tracking shows updates for each step — pickup, transit hubs, out for delivery, and delivered — with a timestamped proof of delivery.

⚠️If You Notice Missing or Delayed Tracking Updates

Sometimes tracking may appear delayed or incomplete — even with a high tracking quality courier.

This can happen if:

  • The parcel is scanned late by the courier,
  • The system is syncing data, or
  • Delivery happened faster than expected without all events being logged.

What you can do:

  • Wait for a few hours and refresh the tracking page.
  • Or reach out to EasyParcel Support if the issue persists.
