What happens if my parcel weight is heavier than the declared weight before parcel pick up or collection?
If your parcel weight is heavier than the declared weight, you can cancel your parcel and rebook with the correct weight to avoid weight discrepancy charges. However, after you have rebooked your parcel, do remember to attach the new airway-bill onto your parcel to avoid confusion when the courier collects your parcel.
What happens if my parcel weight is heavier than the declared weight after parcel pick up or collection?
If your parcel weight is heavier than the declared weight after the parcel has been picked up or collected, your EasyParcel account will be notified of the weight discrepancy charges and that to proceed for further bookings, the charges have to be settled first.
If your shipment is still in transit and you have noticed that the shipment is heavier than stated, you may contact our support team to notify them to amend the stated weight. Once the shipment has been delivered, the weight discrepancy charges will be billed on your account and the new weight will automatically be reflected on your parcel details.
However, if you are determined that the weight discrepancy charges have been incorrectly charged, you may dispute the charges by contacting our support team via the steps shown here.
By entering the weight and dimensions of your shipment during booking, you are pre-paying for the postage. If the shipment is heavier or larger, extra charges for the additional weight will be automatically charged to your EasyParcel account based on the final weight validated by the courier company. Additional charges will be at EasyParcel's normal rate.
